Account and Data Deletion

This page explains how to delete your Jobs.sy account and the data attached to it. Jobs.sy is operated by Shard Soft LTD, Damascus, Syria. The same account is used by the Jobs.sy website and by the Jobs.sy mobile app, so deleting it removes both.

1. Delete your account yourself

In the mobile app: open Account, then Profile, tap Delete account, and confirm.

On the website: sign in, open your profile page, scroll to the Delete Account section, and confirm with your password. If you signed up with Google, Apple or Facebook and never set a password, you are not asked for one: type the word shown on screen instead.

The account is removed immediately and the action cannot be undone.

2. Request deletion by email

If you can no longer sign in, write to [email protected] from the email address registered on the account, or state the phone number you registered with, and ask us to delete the account. We verify that the account is yours and complete the deletion within 30 days.

3. What is deleted

• Your account and profile details (name, email address, phone number).
• All of your job listings, together with their photos.
• Your CV built on Jobs.sy, with its experience, education, skills and languages.
• Your saved jobs and the employers you follow.
• Applications and messages you sent or received, including the CV files attached to them.
• Your employer profile, if you have one.
• Your job alerts and notifications.
• The access tokens of your signed-in mobile sessions and your Google, Apple or Facebook sign-in links.

4. What we keep, and for how long

Records we are required to keep by Syrian law, such as accounting records for paid services, are retained for the period the law prescribes. Technical server logs that may contain your IP address are rotated within 90 days.
